Spring Season

As winter gives way to spring in Manitoba, a blanket of green begins to cover the province. Migrating birds return, and locals start their annual migration to cottage country. Look for seasonal campgrounds and resorts reopening throughout the province, most in time for the Victoria Day long weekend (Monday on or before May 24). Great deals on accommodations can often be had in this "shoulder season" before the busiers tourist season from mid-June until Labour Day (first Monday in September), the traditional end of the vacation season in Manitoba.

Summer Season

Ah, summer in Manitoba! It doesn't get better than this! Long, warm summer days give you the opportunity to engage in everything from waterskiing and swimming, to hiking, cycling, fishing and golfing. Visit a provincial or national park and enjoy a few days of camping under the stars, or stay at a resort or vacation farm. Get out and explore!

Fall Season

The fall is a great time to explore Manitoba and discover the beauty of the province as the temperatures turn cooler. For bird lovers, the fall migration brings a variety of waterfowl to the province's marshes, including Oak Hammock, Netley, Delta and Big Grass marshes. For lovers of great food, communities across the province play host to a great fall tradition  – the fall supper. And for lovers of art (and great deals!), arts and crafts sales are a browser's delight as Manitoba artisans present their creations – just in time for the holiday season. See you in Manitoba this fall.

Winter Season

Manitoban's are a hardy lot, and they're more than willing to show you how to have a good time in the snow. A network of snowmobile trails criss-cross almost every region of the province, and ice fishing huts dot many of our lakes. And just because we're on the Prairies doesn't mean you can't enjoy some downhill skiing. Many parks, including Riding Mountain National Park, have cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails for you to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. And a host of winter festivals, with great events and foods, will have you experiencing Manitoba's hospitality firsthand. Enjoy Winter in Friendly Manitoba
